Guizhou is located in Southwest of China, rich in natural cultural and environmental resources.
Guizhou is also one of China‘s most diverse provinces with many minority groups.
In this trip we will explore mainly at the Southeast Qian Autonomous Prefecture with Dong and Miao ethnics as main population.
Though Guizhou is relatively poor and economically underdeveloped province the locals are doing their best to protect the environment and preserve the old tradition.
In this 6-day trip we will stay away from the touristy areas and have the authentic experience to know about the different minor groups such as Dong,
Buyi and Miao minors (there are more than 100 sub-groups of Miao minority ethnics) and their life style, culture, cuisine, farming, architecture,
language but also appreciate the beautiful natural environment.
We also have the chance to celebrate the new year with the locals and experience the traditional handicraft with the locals!
And you will get touched by their warm-hearted welcome ceremony!

Detailed Itinerary
D1 Guiyang airport-Kaili city
Make your way to the nearby airport and take flight to Guiyang.
Arrive in Guiyang and meet our local guide at airport exit.
Grab your lunch at airport and transfer 2.5 hrs to Kaili city.
We drive to Matang village of Gejia group who is famous for batik making. In Matang village we’ll experience and learn how to make batik.
When we drive into Kaili city, we can dinner at a local Miao restaurant Lianghuangzhai, which is well known for SuanTangYu (Fish Cooked with Tomato Soup and some chili). We dinner before checking into the hotel.

D2 Villages Around Kaili
Breakfast
After breakfast, we drive to a Miao village, take part in welcome ceremony by the local Miao ppl and try the long table banquet for lunch at local ppl‘s house.
Join the locals in their best clothing and makeup, watching the traditional dancing and other singing.
In the afternoon, we drive to Leigong Mountian and start our hike of 2 hours, you can see the beautiful valley with waterfalls.

D3 Kaili-Jiayi
After breakfast, we drive to Shiqiao Miao village, where we can experience and learn paper making, which can be dated back to 1300years ago. After Shiqiao, we drive to Jiaju Miao village,
on the way we visit Shui village, we will take country road today. Shui people have their own language which are about 400 words in shapes like oracle bone inscriptions, and mainly used in witchery.
Most Shui people cannot recognize this language, and they use Mandarin Chinese in their daily life.

D4 Jiaju- Dong village (3 hours)
08:30 After breakfast at hotel, we drive to one Dong village passing through some remote Miao villages on Mountain Moon.
19:30 - 20:30 Enjoy Grand Choirs Bonfire party, appreciate the authentic Dong ethnic songs (Grand Choirs) sung by locals which is listed as international intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO !

D5 Dong village-Longli(3.5 hours)
Check out after breakfast. We leave the Dong village and drive to Longli county. On the way we visit Zhanli Dong village and Fuzhong Miao village.

D6 Longli-Guiyang airport
After breakfast and check-out, transfer 2.5 hrs to Guiyang airport.
12:15 - 14:45 Take flight from Guiyang back to your city.
